RAM LAKHAN KANTHA SAREE

Heavy handwork silk kantha embroidery saree with a scene from Ramayana. 

The sacrifice of Laxman and more so of Urmila I believe is always overlooked.

This saree is an ode to that relationship of care and devotion shared between the two sisters and two brothers.

On aanchal are Ram - Siya with Lakshman - Urmila

This hand embroidery was completed by single artisan in about 4 month's time.

Color : Ivory base with multicolored threadwork

Fabric : Pure Gacchi Tussar silk

Size: 6.35mts with blouse piece in running with bootis all over and border for sleeves
